Ebony's Black Tie Affair

Musketeer's Aramis is a handsome true black herdsire. On his sire's side, Aramis is a great great grandson of the outstanding black Chilean, Zorro G188 and the famed gray SA Karrington. Aramis is a Peruvian Oro grandson on his dam's side. Peruvian Oro was the # 1 pick of the 1993 Importation from Rural Alianza Coop which is known for maintaining low micron count for many years. Oro has over 130 crias on the ground with many national championships and herdsires to his credit. Oro has excellent conformation and fiber characteristics, including density, handle, crimp,fineness and brightness which he passes to his offspring. In 1998, when he was at least 6 years old, Oro’s fleece placed ahead of many ‘ tui’ fleeces in a Colorado fiber competition! At over 11 years of age, he was still producing fiber with an average diameter of less than 27.5 and a CV of less than 20. His fleece continues to hold a low micron count. His estimated age is more than likely 18 plus. New micron testing for 2008 shows AFD 29.0, CV 17.9. You get the picture…lots and lots of outstanding blacks and grays in this boy’s background. Aramis has the manners of a gentleman but doesn't take any nonsense, prancing around like royalty in the pasture, alert and proud like a stud should. Neither will you be disappointed opening his fleece. It opens up to reveal dense well-organized fine fiber with a soft handle. He is covered from head to foot on a stoutly-built frame of substantial bone and excellent proportions. He's a good-sized male as well. So here you have a great looking male with repeating fineness from year to year with a superb pedigree!
